The Defender Junior is suitable for age groups 7-9*. It is custom laminated with two layers of material, each layer being two millimeters thick.. Although just slightly thicker than the Defender Youth, its superior protection is due to the multi-lamination process.

They reflect the level of protection and number of layers each type provides. We strongly recommend the Defender Varsity based on its level of protection, and because it includes the Streamline Design, which allows for clear communication and easy breathing during game play.
